I'm sorry this has probably been asked a million times. Been separated from husband for a few months and we wanted to make a start on a DIY divorce but no idea where to start.

We just want to split savings 50/50, and sell a property we have and then I buy him out of marital home. We have no children.

Do i start with a Consent Order? Where do i find this online and what else do I need to do?

Any help would be appreciated

You need to make sure the divorce is underway so you need a case number.

Complete a Form A (which you'll add the case number of the divorce into), submit with a draft consent order and a statement of means (a D81 form).

That's it.

Assuming the draft order makes sense the court will either stamp it; if it doesn't it may call a hearing for you to attend to go through it to check.

Welcome to Wikivorce.

First thing to do is submit the divorce petition, and then after the respopnant has responded, apply for the Decree Nisi.

The cosnent order must be written up by a solicitor, and can't be submitted to court until after the Nisi has been granted.

The fact you are in agreement is good - and will make things much easier and smoother for you both.
