Morning all, will try and keep this short.
My son has not had any contact with his father since 16th feb 2013, due to a violent and abuse outburst we both encountered from him and his live in partner. my son refused to speak to him on the phone when he called 3 days later. my son has told me of various incidents that had happened whilst he was staying over night at his fathers house. many contributed from his fathers drinking. his father is an alcoholic, this I thought was under control has he started to work again. I wish that my son had told me at the time. anyway out of the blue I have received a letter from a mediator asking if I would be prepared to attend a meeting to discuss contact, I telephoned them this morning and have told them I would like contact to take place in a contact centre due to the violence and abuse. I am waiting now this morning for them to call me back with an appointment as their computers were down. I am so nervous that I made be backed into a corner to which I may be expected to allow my son back to his fathers house to which I don''t want to happen. can someone give me some insight as to what will happen at these meeting s please x thankyou
