Hi there,

My wife and I are going through divorce. She has asked for mediation in relation to the financial aspects. She has provided my solicitor with a list of 4 Mediators based in a radius of about 10 miles. Her family has number of lawyers and contacts in the legal profession. I am being suspect as to why she has selected these 4 Mediators. I''ve read about each one of the mediators and they all have 20 years experience.

Should I be suspicious and counter offer with my list or is this normal practice. My solicitor mentioned this is normal process but I wanted second opinion.

Thanks

Robby

Robby, it''s nothing to be suspicious of, it''s common practice and can be very helpful in the long run, not to mention it could save some money.

Before you start listen to the solicitor regarding your entitlement and the reasons why, mediators are there to help resolve issues, disputes, and good luck with it.
