Does anyone know the legal position regarding rental payments and bills when the husband moves out to rent and the wife stays in the home? Does the husband have to bear the total cost of moving out and his share of the bills in the home?

His share of bills in which home?
Usually whoever lives there pays the bills.
Are there children involved and if they are bills relating to the FMH can she afford them on her income?

What does the contract with the suppliers say? Presumably you are jointly and severally liable?

Can she afford to pay the bills by herself?

If not, how do you think a Judge is going to react if you leave the house and expect an unemployed wife to pay the bills by herself?
