Just to say how great the wikivorce phone helpline is! My head was all of a muddle over stuff I am needing to file for court, as i'm self repping, and talking to the guy who answered my call today helped me understand it a bit more and was a real support. I had been sitting for months thinking, I wished that I could just speak to someone about what I need to do rather than posting...then I was told about the helpline, which is even free from a BT landline...I wished I had called sooner.
I know this might sound like an advertisement! well in a way it is, I would like to spread the word so that more of you wikivorcers use the helpline and save yourself time, money and stress. If the man who helped me today is reading this....THANK YOU x

i'm helping my partner to self rep and i rang the helpline and the man i spoke to was excellent too, he was more help to me than the £3000 that my partner spent on his solicitor who clearly didn't know his facts.

I sort of thought the helpline was for moving straight on into action. Can I actually use it to run our two sets of proposals for a Consent Order past someone for a sort of 'reasonableness test' and then go back to STBX for further negotiation? I am still hoping for an amicable settlement and to be able to use the consent order service (cos I'm a cheapskate lol).

I phoned up not knowing where to even start, the guy was great he advised me what to aim for and how to go about it. There was no trying to sign you up thinking what they could get out of you which you get at the high street 30 minute ones just good honest advice. It was brilliant.

You could do that, but I think you would get a much broader base of views and feedback by posting on the forum.

The Wikivorce helpline isn't just about our fixed-price services, we also offer general advice on separation and divorce, etc - we don't give legal advice though as we aren't solicitors.

So if you have a question, or just need a bit of general advice, give the helpline a call :)
