Can anyone tell me what I can expect when I attend court for a hearing I have cross petitioned my stbx I believe my grounds are far stronger than his will it depend on how good our barristers are

Any advice appreciated :ohmy:

Its actually a pointless exercise, you both want a divorce, you mention barristers that`s lots of money and for what, the end result is the same, divorce.

Who divorces who and for what reason makes no difference at the end of the day, the judge and the lawyers know the only ground for divorce is the irretrievable breakdown of the marriage how and why it happened is of no interest to the judge.

The judge can do one of two things, be dismissive and "tell you both off" for wasting money, or listen to it all and say which application is accepted.

Chances are the first application received by court will be the one that stands.
