as we live in Scotland we are just now really confused if there is anything we can do..my partner has been granted legal aid for the divorce and custody but his solicitor dose not want to proceed until the 2nd property can be sold..twice a offer has been got and taken to completion only for the estranged wife not to sign after she had agreed on the price ..the property is now off the market its been going on 40 months ..we are struggling to pay off the bills she ran up on joint credit cards. we do not have an address for her, she refuses to give one to either our solicitor, the estate agent, or children has no solicitor, the only way anyone can contact her is by e mail or mobile if switch on and is at this moment out of the country yet again has been for 6 weeks.

The law is different in Scotland. Where is your partner divorcing?
