Hi everyone, My husband removed all paperwork from the house we were renting when he left and so I now need to try and find out the exact date of the sale of our house (which happened about 7 years ago approx)for completing detail in form E.
Does anyone know a way I can do this? i don''t know where to start.
Many thanks for any help.

Is the exact date really critical or will an approximation do ?

Hi LMM I''m not sure my solicitor has suggested it is necessary for Form E. Even an approximation is difficult (i.e. month / year) for me to remember. I have moved house (rented) with my stbx over 5 times since which I think is making me confused. Wish my brain would work better at times like this !!!

If you''ve moved 5 times since then I very much doubt it actually matters, even to the exact month. Just guess. You have to complete the form "to the best of your knowledge".

There is a website called www.ourproperty.co.uk where you can search exact details of house sales. Hope this helps
