For the past few days my social media sites have been taken over with the news of a young man who has gone missing after a concert last friday evening.

For the past ten minutes or so we have all been waiting with baited breath after being told and ambulance was dispatched to the area. It was a false alarm.

I dont know the young man who has gone missing, or live particularly close to the are he went missing but it has struck a chord with me and like may strangers i am praying for his return.

I know many of us get bogged down in the day to day aspects of our lives, particularly the stresses and strains of our current circumstances but today i gave my daughter an extra special squeeze and sent a prayer up to say thanks that she is home and safe and part of a loving family. It may be broken and there may be ''issues'', but regardless of everything else she is well loved by everyone who knows her and i am privileged to have her in my life.

Sometimes we need to focus on what we do have, rather than what we dont.

Thinking of the parents who are missing their little boy today. Lets hope he comes home safe

I think one of the hardest things about being a single parent, is when they go out and socialize.

I have spent many nights pacing the floor waiting for my boys to come home. Having no one to say dont be silly they will be fine has been difficult.

Praying for the lad safe return.
