I got a letter from the court today saying ; it is ordered that " Petition deemed serve on or before 31th december 2011" .

what is the meaning of this please?

Are you the oetitioner or the respondent?

It sounds as though an application was made for ''deemed Service'' and the court has accerted that this was reasonable, and made an order saying that the peition is ''deemed '' to have been served - i.e. thae proceedigns can go ahead on the basis that the court will treat the Petition as having been served on the respondent, and for that service to have taken place on or before 31.12.11. That would then allow the pwetitioner to go on to apply for Decree Nisi and for Decree Absolute.
