Hi

My STBEX and I have agreed the financial split of assets and child maintenance between us. He is in process of buying new home.

Has anyone used the Wikivorce/Brethertons service recently.

Would this work for us ? as we could just do a with a Consent Order written up for our divorce.

Plenty of people have used it.

If you have an agreement that can be embodied within a draft order and submitted to the Court.

Child maintenance can only be covered by a financial order for a year. After that the CMC take jurisdiction and either party can apply for a reassessment at that stage - or you can continue with whatever you have agreed.

Not having a good experience with this service from Brethertons, Its like pulling teeth out trying to get things moving along.
Had initial order placed in Feb
I sent off all requested docs within days.
Had to chase after 2 weeks of silence
I then got an email reply saying it been sent for drafting.
Waited another 2-3 weeks and nothing so had to chase again
I then got a reply to sign completed draft
I then had to wait another 3 weeks for them to send to my wife, who signed and returned the same day.
I then had to wait another 2 weeks to get confirmation it has been received back.
I have now emailed them 3 times since the 11th May to get an update if its been sent to court and the response is deafening.

Is this normal of this service? I m guessing other people has used them. Is this normal behaviour from Brethertons

So im nearly 7 month in now from when i first applied for the £359 consent order through Wikivorce and i'm still no further along, in fact I've gone backwards. The solicitor assigned to my case has made an conflicting error on the consent order as to what is filled out on the D81, implying i will share half my share of the 50% split from the sale of the joint home, so insisting i will give my ex 75% of the sale when we agreed 50%. Luckily it was thrown out at the court after 6 month of waiting as it was conflicting and it now has to be rewritten, resigned by myself and ex and resubmitted. Absolute Joke and so embarrassing when i get a text from my ex with a laughing face emoji saying i need to give her half of my share of the sale.
