Can living arrangements affect divorce application?

I'm emotionally stressed with all this and I don't know where start.

My situation is 2 weeks before the Covid lockdown my husband and I have finally talked where to go from here with our relationship. We have been in separate rooms for almost a year now and just living and raising our toddler like flatmates. After our talk we have informed both sides of the family. Both sides were rattled by our announcement. His mum has asked us to hold off for atleast 3 weeks til she gets back to UK and can personally talk to us. We agreed..then lockdown happened. Which has proved that our marriage can't be mended. Things has been emotionally draining and I just want to move forward but with the current pandemic situation I don't know how. Can we start the application when we are still in the same flat? Would that affect the application? I still work and he doesn't which would make the childcare a non issue with the current situation.

I would be grateful for any advice!

Lots of people live in the same property whilst divorcing.

If you both agree the marriage is over then there is nothing to stop you proceeding.

As you've only been "separated" for a year you'll need to use Unreasonable Behaviour as the grounds but it doesn't have to be awful stuff. Agree it together before you submit it.
