Inheritance Property and divorce was created by falconfalcon

can anyone please answer , My deceased Father left some property which was under the ownership of my father even before my marriage and still is under his name now as my father has passed away i want to transfer that property under my ownership while i am separated from my spouse and planning to apply for divorce in near future . my question is if now i transfer this property under my name will it be considered as matrimonial asset and will it be divided between both ,,or should i wait until the divorce is finalized. And then transfer the ownership

If you've inherited it then you need to declare it in your financial disclosure..

It doesn't mean it will be divided.
