Hi,

Currently at Nisi stage, wife divorcing me even though she is the one committing adultery. Current situation is acrimonious and she is refusing to consent to the sale and fair split of our only asset the house. She moved out with our children and I'm still in the house. Mediation has been started but will break down due to her refusal to sell.

The question is if I apply to the courts for a FO will the court rule that the house must be sold and split. I don't care what the split is as long as I break the financial link. She has never paid for the mortgage but is named on mortgage, our time together is nearly 24 years.

She is under the impression that she can stop the house being sold and force me out of the house. This sounds a ridiculous affront to all fairness in life.

Any advice greatly received.

You need to post more details for anyone to comment.

Are there any pensions or anything?

Post details of all assets and incomes.

No pensions or other real assets, she's currently studying and i'm searching for a new contract, no savings due to the current pandemic, it's been a frightful year.
