My wife started the divorce process April last year under the new No Fault Divorce law.

We have both received the conditional order and my wife was able to apply for the final order in November last year, however she hasn't applied for it.

After some research I have found out I can apply for the final order myself in a few weeks time. Can you help to advise that once I apply with the court how long will the final order take to come through?
Many Thanks.

Once you have reached the necessary time time (6 weeks and 1 day plus 3 months) you can apply or the final order as the respondent. The process is still fairly new and I don't know anybody who has applied for anything other than the final order as a applicant or as a joint application.

However, the Court guidance seems to suggest that the process is the said for applicant and respondent (other than the time limits): www.gov.uk/government/publications/myhmc...-final-order-in-time
