Hi, me & my husband exchanged disclosures 6 months ago, and when questioned about mine I gave a full and honest response within two days, now when I questioned his total lies & dishonest disclosure & asked for proof of certain things he has now not responded in 3 months! How long can this carry on for? The whole thing has been going on for 3 years I need this to end

I assume, from the lack of firm deadlines, that you are trying to negotiate our of court. In which case the disclosure is voluntary and could drag on endlessly. You may be at the point where it is time to consider threatening to take the case to court if he does respond adequately.

We often take on clients at this stage in their case.

We can start by:
- reviewing your circumstances
- giving general guidance on what settlement would be fair (very generally due to his current lack of disclosure).
- write a letter for you containing a demand for him to provide disclosure and a clear explanation of consequences if he does not
- helping you understand the options and costs of going to court (which if done without a solicitor doesn't have to cost a fortune)
- helping you apply to court and prepare for the hearings if that is the route you eventually choose
