Can anyone advise on where i stand in terms of form E claim from ex

Short marriage no kids, no properties, both have pensions, I have much greater capital
Seperated after 14 months of marriage in rented property
Solicitor was creating the Clean Break order with co operation from ex then Ex decided to delay intentionally with excuses, then delibaretely ended marriage before the clean break was completed meaning marriage length ended at 4 years

If this now goes through Form E can ex claim on anything from my capital? solicitor process for clean break was intentionally delayed and very nearly completed which can be proved?

Usually after a short childless marriage you just share any increase in value in joint assets, such as the FMH, and keep your own assets that you had before. If there is a need there will be flexibility around this.

Sounds like you’ve lived apart for some time and housing needs are met for both of you. Not sure what your concern is about the four year figure and ex suddenly ending the marriage?

thank you, my concern was even though we seperated just after 12 months, ex ending marriage means total was now 4 years and I assumed more to claim, is that wrong as the clean break has not been signed yet, so potentially could end up form e route? there was no fmh and all needs are met both in a job, so just savings and personal assets which I wish to protect

How and when was your capital built up?
In a short marriage with no children, you would normally just share any 'profits' of the relationship. Did you live together before you married ?Cohabitation is also counted.

It may be worth booking a fixed price legal financial consultation - have a look at the services this site offers.
