Just wanted to let you know of a couple of books I have read over the last few months that have really helped.

The first one which I have now read several times is
"How to Survive Your Husband's Midlife Crisis" written by Gay Courter and Pat Gaudette. It is easy reading and has personal stories from women and men and gives you an insight into how the person is dealing with various situations. I would recommend this to anyone who is trying to cope with a partner going through midlife crisis.

The second book which has helped me is "The Journey from
Abandonment to Healing" by Susan Anderson this is more of a self-help book and deals with surviving and recovering from stages that accompany the loss of love.

I purchased both book from Amazon - hope they help you too.

I found 'It's a BreakUp, Not A BreakDown' by Lisa Steadman really, really helpful.

It's very American in the way it's written and is probably more aimed at women without children but it's really helped me become me again, instead of being Mrs XXXXX as I have been for the last twenty-odd years. I met my stbx when I was 18 and am now 41 and it's been a bit of a journey finding out who 'me' really is! Having said that, I still can't make a decision on my own - even on which wallpaper to have in the hall :P

Hi all

Was just having a look at the books recommended on Amazon and noticed on the 'Midlife Crisis' book there is mention of a web site. Just had a look on the web site and read a very interesting article about Mid Life Crisis. Definately worth a read, it describes my husband perfectly.

Have a look
