Hi All - just wondered if anyone had any success with online Wills, and POA? And if so, where can I download the forms?

What do you mean by success?

If you get your Will wrong you won't be around to see the aftermath.

Ha ha! But you may have done one for a relative that has now passed!
Alternatively I meant a website that makes it simple to download the forms, perhaps has good advice and instructions...

DIY Wills are not always the money-saving exercise people may think them to be - and can often lead to complications for the grieving family, or even the will itself being invalid. Most solicitors will offer a low cost will writing service, and some charities will offer a free will in exchange for a small bequest being left to them in your will.

It is also worth noting that your estate may exceed the current nil rate band which means that your estate will pay tax upon your death.

There are very simple ways to avoid the tax by planning in advance. These aren't tax loopholes, they are incentives which are meant to be used so you will sell yourself short by not using them.

In order to plan for tax though, you need to ensure your Will is binding and that any gifts or beneficial entitlements do not fail due to technicalities.

I have worked in the law for many years and would never dream of making my own Will, there is too much to go wrong.

Even if your Will is valid, it is possible for this to be challenged particularly if you do not make adequate provision for dependents or you favour one sibling/child over another. It's a minefield.
