To keep it brief I had a MPS (maintenance pending suit) hearing. It was extremely stressful and all my earning and figures were distorted. Nett figures were over looked even though I made full, I mean full financial disclosure. Including 3 year’s accounts, bank statements etc etc. The judge was very one sided and made some very flippant comments, even though I had made full disclosure and was clear I was not deliberately hiding anything.
My ex wife , who only refused to work part time, and who had never worked properly, just living off me and my income. She was awarded the equivalent to 3/4 of my salary monthly. To me it seemed the judge and the other barrister had some sort of connection as my barrister was continually interrupted and not allowed to badly speak or answer properly.
Anyway, my frustrated barrister, advised I had strong grounds to appeal. I did indeed, to was costly to say the least.
The main point of frustration here is that in order to appeal, I required the court transcripts from the hearing, which was online. For some strange reason, they went missing and were not available for the appeal hearing. I am still reeling from this farcical hearing and I’m wondering what can be done to pursue this ??
