While looking for my old passport yesterday to renew it I came across my marriage cert. Just wondering if anyone out there has any good ideas what to do with it!! Apart from the obvious one that is. All suggestions will be considered.

Well I dont know lol!!!!

I had to give mine to solicitor when I applied for divorce, I presume that your ex must have divorced you and would have had to get a copy.

Its up to you what you do with it, its no use now so bin it or come to my divorce party on 29th Nov and burn it in style on my little bonfire as people are invited to bring memorabillia to burn, gonna make a guy probably and put a face of my ex on it and stick a firweork up its ......!!!

I'd use the marriage licence to polish the kids school shoes on or write this weeks shopping list on it!

BRM - you could do what my ex did with his previous two marriage certs - and pin the divorce paperwork to them... (might send him our cert so he can add it it to his "collection")...........

Or

You could tear it into tiny peices, climb a hill with a hipflask, sit at the top, and scatter the peices to the four winds. Thats my plan .

I'd love to come to your party Saffy (with marriage cert as fire lighter!) but I've got the kids that weekend. Shame.

I've just had another idea for the cert. I could take it to our first mediation session in Jan and ask them to write the Consent Order for AR on the back of it...a sort of recycling.
