Picked kids up from school, played a drawing game with them, fed them, bathed them. Settled down to the last half an hour of CBeebies.

Decided to nip into the kitchen to make myself a well-deserved coffee.

When I returned to the tv room, my eldest had drawn a "smiley face" about 3 feet in radius, in red felt-tip pen on my beautiful newly fitted carpet. The ink is indelible and I'm pouring with sweat trying to remove it.

My head is going to explode

Just thought I'd share this

A hard lesson to learn. Washable pens only. Hey look at it this way. You will have a constant reminder of the little "darling" even when they are not with you! Everytime you look at it, you will be like that drawing, a "smiley face".

I jest I know, but it could have been a lot worse.

Just out of interest, how old is the little "darling"?

Maybe you have a budding Picasso or Monet on your hands, lol.

Sorry, Sarah x

:ohmy:Sorry, but I did want to laugh. Google to see if you can find a way to get it out.

If its any help, one of my sons once got a can of spray paint and decorated his bedroom with streaks and the other drew a goal post on his wall with permanent marker.

As for carpets - if you haven't tried to get Sudocrem nappy cream out of a carpet, you haven't qualified as a proper parent.

Sorry but I had to laugh.

Reminded me of my little darling when she decided to redecorate the white walls with red crayon.

I kept my cool and we both proceeded to scrub the walls clean when the phone rang. By the time I returned, the little love had decided to polish all my black furniture with the same cloth.

But the cleaning fluid had taken the white paint off the walls too!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:woohoo:

Suggestion: If u can't claim on insurance, a big rug to cover it, or ask her to do the hole carpet for you.
