Today I took my daughter and her friend to an old fashioned sweetshop near us to buy some sweeties.
This was partly to get away from the constant arguing with the Stbx over his cheating and "wanting us to just forget about it!" and partly to let her buy all the sickly delicasies she has always loved.

She chose abc letters, dolly mixtures and Tom thumb drops.

This set me thinking....

If I were an old fashioned sweet, what would I be?

I think that I would be a Sugar Mouse.

So go on...Think about it.. What would you be?

Would you be a humbug?

Breathless. xx

ooooooooo

This has brought back alot of memories..........remember

the sweetie bracelet that was on elastic round your wrist?

and rainbow crystals that made your finger turn red with dipping!!!

And then in the early 80's there was 'space dust'

But i think my favourite sweets were those jelly 'worms' especially blackcurrent ones!!!

But if i had to choose one to be i tnink i'd be a pink marsh mallow........all fluffy and soft and sickly sweet!!!

:)

EX would have to be a pink flying saucer - nice on the eye but bitter and leaves a funny taste in the mouth...! I'd put myself down as an orange jelly baby....
