well it had to happen the window is literally falling out,i wondered why it was so cold in the bedroom and i wondered what the strange buzzing and vibrating noise was that kept happening everytime someone drove past.Duh silly me its the window falling out of faulty towers. If i don't fix it it will fall out and hurt someone its all rottern broken and nakkered bit like me.Theres a lack of dosh in the kitty ,miracle needed to pay for it,meanwhile ex2b cuddling up under the northern lights.I have to believe this is not the last straw.agggh!
Does anyone know of any cheap fix it person in south yorks /sheffield.please.

Have you tried asking your house insurance company? Is it the window ledge that is rotten? Have you investigated how much it would cost to repair?

ok its gone from bad to worse. Not that i am one for exagerration.Anyway i decided the attic is freezing and decided the air vent needed filling in.Stuffing it with ex2b's t shirt never really worked.Roll on ny reolution no 1 ie to be a female diy expert who needs a bloke anyway when you can buy a can of foam filler.Hving made the purchase off to work couldn't get the top off initially-eventually suceeded couldn't work out why the long bit wouldn't push into the hole at the top tried to get it off with my teeth to no avail, then worked out that was cos it was meant to screw together.Ready for action.I worked out that if i squirted around the t shirt and pushed some cardboard over it i could get no nails and glue the air vent cover over it and it would look perfect and no need to drill.way hey!oops once squirted into the gap i pushed the cardboard over the edge but the monster kept growing and growing and didn't stop now i can't get the cover on it theres filler down the side of the house reaching into the street and all over the wallpaper,on the desk and i didn't think it was necessary to wear gloves.Big Big mistake i have deformed hands now.How can i spend £6.99 and end up with around £200 of damage.
I can't get this stuff off my hands and its driving me nuts.Help anyone what can I do to get it off it got mixed with dust and my hands are black and so scruffy.
I had considered trying to do something about the window myself. The glass is hanging out dropped down out of the frame theres no putty stuff on the outside so i cellotaped it.I think its better if i don't try the foam approach on it.
