Haway - I shall be following your progress with interest :)

Some things I found useful when losing weight are
1 - asking myself if I really needed to eat every time I went to the fridge - usually the answer was "no"

2 - Dont deprive yourself of the the good stuff like chocolate, the odd kebab, etc - its all about moderation, not starvation

3 - the advice people like Weightwatchers give is that you should aim to lose no more than 2-3 pounds per week.

4 - I found a horrendous picture of me in a bikini when I was erm, rather large, so I stuck it to my fridge door with a post-it saying" Dont feed the whale" - it was enough to remind me that I never wanted to be that big again.

I'm signing up, following a serious bout of comfort eating caused by this process, I've put on a fair amount of weight, however, I don't want to join in with the telling you exactly how much process, I'm not that brave!

But I did weigh myself last week, and I'm pretty certain my scales are broken too, Haway, although that doesn't explain why my clothes don't fit does it - perhaps they have shrunk in the wash?

I was just on my way for a bit of comfort-toast when I read this post and I decided not to bother, but to weigh myself again instead. I've been doing a fair amount of exercising and trying to cut down on the nibbles, and I seem to have lost 3lbs this week.

So next time I'm feeling a bit peckish I will remember to pop in here for some inspiration, and maybe my new motto should be "post not toast"!
