I am fast becoming inseperable from my wok...

Stir fries are so simple, healthy and cheap!
Dont buy the packeted stir fry stuff from the supermarket, chop and shred your own veg.

Asda do some very nice stir fry causes at a £ each. Thai red curry and the sweet chilli one are fab according to my daughter and friends.

So far... chicken, red pepper, carrot, parsnip, mushrooms, baby sweetcorn, broccoli and the sweet chilli source is the fave.

So simple even a kitchen philistine like me can do it! And impress my daughter which is not easy!

Starting to enjoy cooking.... who would have thought!

Get to a Chinese supermarket and get hold of some fermented black beans. Really cheap and a couple of tablespoons will make enough sauce for two people.

Ken Hom is worth a look and youtube has a dearth of videos showing dishes to make

Salmon and black bean www.lifestylefood.com.au/recipes/3624/st...ith-black-bean-sauce

Also try Videojug for video tutorials.

If you have trouble using up veg before it goes off, buy chinese cabbage as it lasts months in the fridge and a couple of leaves thinly sliced goes stir fries and tastes great with everything.
