How do we know our exes are not also members?

Just a thought but seen as though when you type in 'divorce' to a google search, wikivorce comes up a lot. how can we protect ourselves from not letting our exes know what we are thinking or doing?
Had anyone experienced 'bumping' into the'r partners on here?
Should I delete all the threads from previous forum posts as a precaution?

It is certainly possible as Wikivorce grows more popular that we will have cases of both parties in a divorce visiting the site.

With this in mind, it is really your own decision as to how open you wish to be.

We suggest for example that you only blog if you have no concerns about your ex one day reading that blog. The nature of the blogs with multiple 'diary' style entries makes it quite possible for someone who knows you well to recognise you.

When it comes to forum postings then if you are at all concerned we would suggest that you avoid precise personal details in your postings. Examples:

Instead of "I am a 42 year old nurse from bolton and my husband left me for a gym teacher 12 years younger".

Just say "I am in my forties, and work as a nurse in the north west. My husband just left me for a younger woman."

Or leave those details out altogether and just post the question e.g "Can you tell me how much evidence I need to prove adultery if he wont admit it?".

It is perfectly possible to receive the advice and support you need from the Wikivorce community without disclosing your private details.

This thought has occurred to me too and I am going to be less open with my details now
