My husband left me for another woman. We are in the process of divorcing - the Decree Nisi should arrive next week and I am attending Financial mediation on Monday. Yesterday he dropped the bombshell that they have split up. He has asked that he moves back into the spare room while he sorts himself out with a property to rent. I assume that I can''t prevent this because the mortgage is in joint names?

It depends on how long have you been separated, if your husband has anywhere else to live or the resources to afford alternative accommodation.

He moved out June 27th. Has a good wage but has built up debts buying furniture for his ''loveshack'' that is in the OWs name. If what he says it to be believed she will pay him back some of that next week though.
