Home alone this weekend with too much time to think so maybe you guys at wiki could help me out.

Is it lust ? I know lust is one of the seven deadly sins and is related to its cousin "the real thing" but it is a
seriously exhilarating feeling and without it would any of us be here ? (in the world not wiki) Is it the glue that binds new couples together and gives love the chance to develop ?

Is it love ? Does this come before or after lust or is it simply when you feel comfortable, optimistic and glad to be alive for a change? Is it when you get lost in a conversation with him and still feel distracted by the desire to touch him or is that lust again ? or is love when all you want to do is be with him, whether you are having sex or not and you see a future together with him and just want him to be happy ?

Worst still is it infatuation that could turn into love or could all end in tears.

All answers gratefully received....

Love is washing his smelly socks with a smile

Lust is not realising he has smelly socks :woohoo:

Lust is doing hair make up and dressing sexy to see him

Love is letting him see the real you, pimples and all

Difficult one mummyb! And probably as many different answers as there are people. For me:

I believe in lust at first sight :woohoo:but not love at first sight. Love is all those things you described, and when you love someone, warts and all, and still want to be with them, when you don't want to change things about them but accept them for who they are (except maybe their dress sense! When you can talk for hours... etc

Lust, well that can grab you the minute you see someone, or creep up on you after getting to know them for a while too. The difference is you don't spend most of your time thinking about them when they are not there. How can you truly love someone when you don't really know them.

How to tell the difference - well that is the hard part lol. Good Luck!

Lust is the desire to make it happen at the outset. :woohoo:

Love is what makes it continue to happen for a lifetime , warts and all.

Or so I believed! (STBX always knew better - Bitter? Hell no!)

I may have posted this previously but it's worth repeating.

[quote]When you fall in love, it is a temporary madness. It erupts like an earthquake and then subsides. And when it subsides you have to make a decision. You have to work out whether your roots have become so entwined together that it is inconceivable that you should ever part. Because this is what love is. Love is not breathlessness, it is not excitement, it is not the promulgation of promises of eternal passion. That is just being in love which any of us can convince ourselves we are. Love itself is what is left over when being in love has burned away, and this is both an art and a fortunate accident.
