It's finally over.......

Following the FDR a couple of months ago he made an offer, which I accepted. After several nail-biting weeks, a hell of alot of hassle and much prompting, his solicitor finally produced a Consent Order which was approved by the court and came into force upon Decree Absolute yesterday.

To say I am relieved is an understatement, I feel as if a huge weight has been lifted from me and I can begin to get on with the rest of my life. This past year has been nothing short of a personal hell. When I instigated the divorce I greatly underestimated just how nasty and vengeful someone I once loved could be. My children have suffered, my parents, family have all been affected by the fallout of what turned out to be a very messy business, emotionally, mentally, and financially.

Has it all worth it? YES, WTHOUT A DOUBT....

The FMH is under offer and I have got a mortgage and found a much smaller place for me and the kids, our standard of living has decreased, and I'll be working my socks off until retirement but I have liberated myself from a desperately unhappy marriage.
I am looking forward to creating a future for myself - without him.

To everyone on here who has just begun their journey and to all the others who at the moment can not see the wood through the trees due their own pain......good luck. You WILL come through to the other end eventually, and your life will go on XXX

Liago you've just really picked my spirits up! (having just posted a bit of rant on here) I am smiling in the hope that one day I'll have that feeling too.

Bloody well done for getting through it - and all the very best for your new and exciting future! x :)
