It has been 4 and a half years since my ex left me for another woman, and 2 and a half years since the divorce was finalised. It has been a hard few years but i finally feel happy and contented with life. I have had many ups and downs especially after the divorce was finalised, it seemed that keeping it together and being strong deserted me and i slumped into depression. I resorted to anti depressants and counselling which helped me come to terms with what had happened and after a year of medication i felt well enough to come off them. I have made changes in my life, i am strong, independant woman who will never again be treated like a doormat. So for all of you who are going through it please take heart that it does get better and you can get through it.

Thank you so much yew tree, yours is the first post I''ve read tonight & I am 2 years in divorce finalised December Consent Order & finance still getting sorted & x messing round with child support!

Was so depressed today''s with x for messing me / us about when finances are what he wanted & I stupidly agreed, a sols bill (out of the blue when thought it was all finished), really really hard week at work & the differences between parenting for us plus fell out with another family member when said I was struggling so much with money etc etc could go on forever! :(

Just feel so bad, a complete failure at the marriage, at sorting out kids with exams (& no study), with money & sheer amount this has all & continues to cost & then fell out with family member was hoping to be knocked down by a car so I could put everyone out of their misery (which is me).

You have made me realise that it may be bad now, but have come so far & there is an end & it will be better.

Thank you JJx
