I am off on holiday abroad for the first time alone with just me and my son. Usual panic have I sorted everything money passports ticket. It is funny travelling under my married name passport not changed yet got another 3 years left to run!!

So lloking forward to spenddinga week in the sun with just my boy and me. There is a kiddies club on site so hopefully there will be friends for him to meet.

Slightly apprehensive that there will be lots of couples and I am seen as the lonely woman. But hey I enjoy my own company and if my boy is happy then so am I.

Just so good to leave all the stress behind for a bit.

I will bring back a bit of sunshine for you all.

Good for you! Your son will soon make friends. You''ll probably make friends with their parents and seeing your son happy will make it all worthwhile. You''re creating new memories so take lots of photos to remember it by. xx

I went on holiday with my two at half term. Was filled with trepidation, but actually it was absolutely fine. They were great company, lovely to take out to dinner and I never felt strange at all. I didn''t meet any other single parents only couples, but hey, who cares.....whats important is you and your child and having a lovely time together.

Sun is a real ''pick me up''. Enjoy xxx

Even when married i took my two away on my own - honestly you will be fine, make eye contact with a few mums, and soon you will have someone to sit with whilst sipping sangria!

Have a wonderful time

xx
