Can anyone help so I feel a little less anxious my solicitor not in till Monday.
I''ve had a letter from stbx solicitor, lots of lies regarding finances,
Still hasn''t booked his mediation he says when he has been he will decide if that''s the route he wants to go, his solicitor has now asked mine
To put into their client account a lump sum payment I have supposedly
Drawn very recently! Which I may add I haven''t ! I have been living off
My ISA, which I have been very concerned about and have informed his solicitor via mine that''s what I need to do. I don''t work due to ill health.
I have Severn years to retirement he has six. We have no mortgage.
He already draws 597 per month on top of wages which average out to about 2500 per month. He has been complaining about me using the ISA
Insisting it''s HIS (not even OURS)
I''m now paying out for maintenance items, has a water leak, had to pay for emergency repairs, and excess which amounted to 600
The garden hedges are desperate now so getting a quote for that.
Does anyone think if I applied for maintenance pending whatever it''s called (sorry) I would get anything, I went for a medical for personal independence payment but still not had response they did say it would be late June.
I just feel very sad that he is getting on with his life which I know is
The very same happening to all wikis, and I''m having to use savings
That should be for the pot which will mean less for us both but ultimately
Will be me that suffers, he lives with his ow since he walked out in January. I''m wondering why he thinks I''ve drawn the pension, what I have done is asked for figures along with the normal pension as solicitor said apply for it cus it could take a while.
Thanks one and all,
I also have the statement of support to complete then can apply for nisi
That''s what solicitors letter says.
One more thing once Nisi comes through what about Absolute I''m worried cus not even started to sort the settlement .

Hi, i think its called Maintenance Pending Suit...your solicitor should be able to tell you about this and about the settlement. Also make sure all finances are sorted out before you apply for the Absolute.
At least your stbx is attempting to move things forward. I have had to do everything so it moves forward then comes to a halt particularly when i have a bad day...today is one of those bad days.
You must be prepared for lies all the way through...if they could get away with it they would see us penniless and homeless...why do you think they tell so many lies!! There is no loyalty here...they simply do not care...they''re ''alright jack''.

I would be interested in any answer you get. My solicitor has advised I would not get spousal maintenance but since December I have been using savings to live while husband is having all legal fees paid by parents. We are living in marital home in awful atmosphere and although I can''t afford to eat outside work I have to watch him buy designer clothes and drive around in New Mercedes Registered to his mother! Thousands already on legal fees and not even got Nisi yet...

Oh Surrey that''s aweful, it might be just as I thought then zilch!
I just will never understand what the heck happens to these people.
No use to keep trying to understand.
I go from being angry to frustrated to heart broken, it can''t do our bodies much good let alone our minds!
I know what u mean about food, I''m living off savings so extremely careful what I spend, while HE goes out three times a week for meals and weekends away, never did that with me.
Anyway thanks to you and moving on, I wish there was something we could do as it makes you feel so helpless, at a loss.

Spousal maintenance depends on two things.

First, how much you need ;

Secondly, to what extent does he have the means to pay it and
still meet his own reasonable needs.

Maintenance pending suit is an interim measure designed to '' tide you over '' till a full maintenance order can be made.

It is certainly worth considering if he has the means to pay.

The issue of benefits should always be considered. I ow ld always suggest a consultation a CAB.

There is a discussion on MPS in my article on spousal maintenance, which you will find in the Resource Library. Clock TOOLS and then RESOURCES to locate it.

Thank you mr little Mike

Sorry for long post

I a m unable to work due to ill health.
I have had news this morning that DWP have awarded me the Personal independent payment , I don''t know at what level yet as there are three levels it could be 100 a month or more , it is awarded for two or three years I don''t know yet which, then you have to go through the process again. I have not informed his solicitor yet as I know he will cease paying something else, every so often he cancels direct debits and doesn''t tell me, I have been living in anxiety, which does not help my health one bit. CAB helped me with the application as they couldn''t get me any other benefits as I have savings and so does my husband, more thank 16k.
Luckily we have no mortgages.
I claim single person council tax,
Ex pays TV license, 12.00
Combined utility 122
Water rates 25
Obviously don''t know anything about his outgoings now he lives with OW
but I know there will be no mortgage as she is a widow, he knew them both before he died knew all their business as he used to tell me that her husband had ensured she was well provided for she had a big pay out when he died.(long story not going into it)

I pay my dental plan. 19
My mobile contract 25
Council tax 112
Food and essentials 250-300
Car maintenance which cost me 300 this year
Fuel 50
Car tax I''ve paid that only 30
Broadband and landline 17.40
I know I can''t have the life I had, but he seems to still be living it
I just want some fairness, I have worked for forty years to just be abandoned now.
He''s got the car insurance under review he says, he paid that at xmas
Threatened to cancel, quotes I got are approx 500/600 as never had my own insurance
Just paid out 260 for a water leak, as no emergency cover, repairs to ceiling are being paid via insurance.
I rang him when it happened he said his job just isn''t the same now he''s only earning half what he used too! So no contribution.not even rung to see how it''s going.
I am having quotes today for gardening, we have lots of hedges which he trimmed regular and two small lawns he knows I can''t do these jobs what am I supposed to do? I reminded him about it he just said yes I''m aware.

My concerne is my ISA should go in the pot there willnot be much left
And when we sell this place and Spain (at moment only worth about 50k
Due to taxes and exchange rate) how am I going to live after divorce and find a little bungalow. He is living with OW in her detached house.
He has a company car she has a motability car. I now have to give I my home of thirty years where I hate it but feel secure at the same time!

He says he wants a Clean Break offered already half this house half Spanish, no pension no benefits on death, and says I can keep family car (worth about 2k) I have turned this down a few weeks ago not had any other offer as my solicitor has insisted on full disclosure.
The car won''t last forever.
He retires in six years my retirement in seven.

Hi Annie its good news about the Personal Independant payment - it will help once it kicks in. It sounds as though you are getting stronger and more organised with every message you type.

You will be able to go out and do things and socialise again - you may just need to rethink what you do - there are lots of interesting clubs and societies out there that do not cost a lot to join, and the support and friendship you will get are immense. Have a look in the local paper or library for some ideas of whats on. My friend recently joined the Women''s Rural (like the WI) - she''s the youngest by about 30 years but she loves it because they have interesting talks. Or take a look at the local college and take a night class - I know these are a little more expensive but the relief of doing something new where nobody knows your background can be very de-stressing - you get to be yourself for a little while

Don''t worry so much about the garden - mine is a jungle at the moment - I am not going to spend money on it - I have weeded the slabs around the house this year, but last year when my stress was higher I did not.

Now you have been awarded the PIP does that mean you are entitled to a motability car? I think you should look into it.

Take care x
