Hello,
My ex and father of my 2 children has just informed me he has been made redundant and that my payments will be going down. I just wondered here I stand on this? He currently pays me just less than the recommended 20% of earnings (or less than CSA calculator recommends) and has the children for 2 nights every fortnight only. We so far have stayed out of the courts and would prefer it stayed that way.
Am I/the children entitled to any of the redundancy payout? he has worked for the employer for about 18 months i think, so I dont know what he will be getting.
Any thoughts anyone please?
Becky

Depends on the redundancy package.

If it includes an element of compensation for lost wages, there is
no reason in principle why this cannot be split.

But if he really is redundant, he can apply for a reduction in the payments with a fair guarantee of success.

I would advise looking at the benefits situation as a matter of urgency. Try to see a CAB.
