If you are over 60 and going through a divorce, would you consider helping a group of students who have contacted us?

Below are details of what they are trying to do ... If you think you can help then please get in touch with me, hadenoughnow, via PM asap.

Thank you.

We are producing three magazines as part of a module in our postgraduate course - the print versions will not be published and are just for the eyes of our tutor. We will, however, have a website up and running in the next week, but the divorce case studies will not appear on there - just the facts and figures of national stats. Our blog is at www.renewmagazine.wordpress.com if you're interested.

Our magazine is an active, forward-thinking magazine aimed at retired people and is a more modern, edgier Saga.

For our third and final issue, we would like to focus on the rise of divorce in the over 60s - apparently in 2006 there were 8000 over 60s divorces, and in 2009, this grew to 14000. The feature will focus on this figures and question what the reasons are for the rise. I would then like to have first person accounts from two people - ideally a man and a woman, who have experienced a divorce in their 60s. I would need to know their names at the request of my tutor but as I mentioned, this magazine will NOT be published and is for the eyes of our tutor only.

I am 62years old - female. I am going through divorce now. Hopefully Absolute will be granted soon. I was widowed and met and married my STBX 18 months after my husband died - I was 58 years old and he was 59.

The marriage was a disaster for both of us, and probably the worst mistake of my life.

Don't know if I am the type of divorce case you are looking for. I would be happy to help with your research.
