Divorced in Jan 09, finances all sorted nov 08, I got 100% of one of his pensions and all the paperwork was dealt with albeit after the Absolute issued.

So I have not recieved confirmation of the pension or where this is to be placed in fact no papers relating to it at all. I have become quite concerned as this info has been requested 3 times now.

So how log should it take to sort out the paperwork and shall I keep persuing the solicitors to get it all finished.

Hi,

I can understand your concerns and yes you should pursue this until you have some documentary evidence of the share and better still your own pension!

Do you have any paperwork at all relating to the "100% of one of his pensions"? If you can speak to your solicitor they should have ensured that the correct paperwork was completed and will have some details on this pension. Once you have this information I can advise you further and you can approach the pension company.

There are number of options available to you when dealing with the pension. If you can find out a little more detail on the pension in question I will be able to set out your options.

Once you have the correct and complete paperwork lodged with the right people the order can be completed. The sharing order does not take effect until the Decree Absolute is issued. The pension company then has four months to implement. As the paperwork is not with them yet the 4 months will start once they have everything.

I hope this helps you to get started. If you need anything else, please post some more.

Regards

Phil
