Just after a bit of info. I have been separated from my husband for 2 yrs in march. I have been in a local government pension fund for 23 yrs, is my ex entitled to my pension from the time we got married and because we are not divorced does he have a claim on the years until we are. Thanks

It depends how long you have been married, as you are still married it could mean he can claim even more,

Without knowing the length of marriage no one can say,

From time of marriage to separation is 13 years so a medium length marriage so they should only be entitled to a share for those 13 years,

It is i`m sure you know more complicated than that, your respective needs tend to be at the top of the list and how best they can both be met assuming you don`t have children in education if you do their needs come first.
