Your best bet is to wait for the scheme C.E.T.V. as it will have all the information necessary for an independent valuation.

sorry to barge in on this thread but is CETV based on the value now if it was frozen or the estimated value at retirement. Many final salary schemes in NHS will cease to exist for empoyees in the next year or so particularly for some community nhs staff who may change to be employed by council or other employer outside nhs due to changes in rules for the comissioner/provider within the nhs.|This will obviously have a big effect on empoyees final pension but where does that leave them if they are getting divorced now before changes are made.

The scheme valuation will always be the current value. It is relatively easy to adjust that value to take account of different circumstances, for example where the relationship ended several years ago.
