Hi

Am presently seperated from stbex and petitoning stage of divorce, I have no pension and ex has 3, his main one has a lump sum of 20k plus 7k a year which is a civil service one, prior to that he had an army pension but i was not with him whilst he had this job, what i would like to know is with a 14 year marriage what is likely to be the value of this to go into the pot so to speak and the likley share to offset against me retaining the marital home for myself and son which has equity of 190 k, the divocre is taking so long and am just needing some positive response as to where i will be left in the house or shed!!!! many thanks

Thanks for reading bagpuss, i guess you want the main points:

Together 14 years married 12, i work part time earning 10k with no pension, we have 12 yr old son who i have presently, but he says he want to live with dad!!!! not that i want him to but understand at 12 this has a lot of weight.

He has worked abroad earning 70 k tax free but his contract now ended so he says he will be claiming off me, he has taken all his savings out of his uk account and left his earnings out of uk (and europe).

Although he still pays bills and mortgage (grateful, so with the house valued at around 230k mortgage left £43k the total equity is 187k, i have no savings he should have around 100k saved but think this will be hidden as well as his 3 pensions. any indication of settlement however rough would help me in planning my future. I am 50 and he is 49
