I'm just trying to keep it simple, I will probably be better off with a share of the pension in the long run but to avoid dragging it through the courts I'll 'do a deal'.
The £33000, her share of the equity, is nearer 34% of the difference in the CETV's but probably less than 25% if an actuary was involved.
There was about £20,000 in cash that she's been moving about and spending, that I'm willing to forget about.
She'll walk away with about £100,000 from the sale of our Spanish property, more than enough for a deposit on a new house, and I've offered to let her stay in the FMH for a period to be agreed if she so wanted.
She is being encouraged from all sides to go to court, especially by her sisters, and, I believe, badly advised by her solicitor.
Apart from the fact that I'm co-habiting I can see no reason other than a 50/50 split if it comes to it which has got to be worse for her.
