FDA in early March and actuary''s report was ordered. My STBX''s CETVs are worth 500k, 300k + in final salary pensionschemes. He has JUST signed the form allowing this. We are due back in court on 9 June but I can''t see we can have a sensible FDR if the report''s not ready by then.

So actuaries - how long? He has 5 pensions in total, 3 final salary and 2 money purchase. I have 2 money purchase pensions with CETV of 95k.

Thank you!

It''s a how long is a piece of string question, they can take three months, some a little less some longer, it''s best to ask the actuary.

I would echo Dukey''s comments here.

The actuaries I work with quote varying timescales to complete reports.

Typically if all the necessary information on the pensions is available immediately to the actuary the timescale is much reduced. Delays arise when more information has to be requested from the pension schemes.

I agree that the FDR should not proceed without the actuary''s report. I assume your solicitors will ask for it to be rescheduled.

Have you actually instructed the actuarial report?

Someone with a legal background could perhaps comment on this and confirm the correct procedure to adjourn the FDR.

Thanks Phil. The letter of instruction was sent on Tuesday so the actuary will probably have just received it. STBX has given scant information about 2 of the schemes so I imagine more info will be required. I won''t go to FDR without the report and my solicitor agrees as we cannot put forward sensible offers without it.

Different types if schemes final pension schemes are more genomes than others but pensions can be as important than liquid assests such as FMH equity.

It''s important you know the true value if tbe pension pots it does make a difference
