Hello all

I was on this forum two years ago when I first spilt from ex husband after he had an affair and receive great support and advice.

I sucessfully negotiated financials and the court order has just been rubber stamped for the pension shsring order of 35 percent.

It is an nhs pension and I used wikivorce.

I am now unsure of what to do next. I have to find the fee of 3k myself too which I''m currently working on.

I suffer from dyscalculia (number dyslexia) and dyspraxia and financial s are beyond me.

Any advice on my first steps would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you.

I have just tread the Consent Order and it says we should each pay half the cost. Not sure how this slipped in as I never mentioned it but it''s good for me I guess.

Well done!

The first thing that you need to do is contact the people who manage the NHS pension and inform them that you have been awarded a pension share and ask what to do next. In my case, I then had to send in the Decree Absolute and the Consent Order.

They may then give you options, either to transfer your share out of their scheme or keep it in theirs under your name. The cost of sharing is £3000 and the Consent Order says you are to pay half each (that is normal). In my situation, they took off the £1500 from my pension share so I did not need to find it. This may be a possibility for you too.
