Hello,

My STBx is insisting on completing a longevity assessment citing family history of heart disease while he's fit and well. How does this affect pension actuarial valuation? Thanks.

Kind Regards,
Phylis

So he is trying to argue that he will die sooner than average so therefore will need less pension?

Hello,

Yes he's trying to get a reduced figure of his pension that seems more valuable than mine. He's fit and well but family has history of heart disease.
How do the actuaries determine this?
