Consent orders

I have been granted a Consent Order so that the marital home is transferred to me as sole owner. This was agreed in principal by my ex but he is now non contactable and therefore refusing to sign the papers necessary. My solicitor says there are ''other applications '' that can be made for situations like this. Does anyone know what my next steps will be? We have paid out thousands of pounds getting this far and can''t believe the journey is not over yet! My ex had 52 days to deal with the paperwork, a timescale he is well over. I am just so worn out by his constant refusal to comply with the courts. I don''t understand why he gets away with it.

Is your ex non-contactable, or refusing to sign? You say he is both but these are mutually exclusive.!

Did you agree this in court or just between solicitors?.

He is non contactable by me because we have a non molestation order not allowing contact from him nor would I make contact with him. The court made the order and gave the 52 days for him to comply with the order. We have gone past that now. I just wonder what my next ''cost'' will be!! Any negotiations aree either done by a solicitor or through the courts.

You should ask your solicitor to write to him, telling him to follow the consent order. Your solicitor should explain that failure to comply will result in a court application for enforcement, and will have a costs claim attached.

Thanks I will ring my solicitor today and push for this to be done asap.
