Hi. My ex is applying to vary our order. I can't afford to waste the money getting my solicitor to do my form E. I downloaded Form E off the gov.uk website but the fields are too small for the text I need to type in and it won't let me expand the box. Anyone know where I can get a more flexible version of it please?
Thanks

The form is designed so you could put both parties' forms next to each other to compare. If they were vastly different side-by-side comparison would be less useful.

It is possible to add additional pages (see the last page where you can describe other documents attached) but you should first ask yourself whether the level of detail you want to add is required.

For instance I could understand if you had 40 bank accounts that the space for that would be lacking but if you can convey the message in a few words that would suffice.

As an example a description of an order could be "sale of former matrimonial home, equal division, no pension share and Clean Break" would be the same as " I would like the family home to be sold with the sale proceeds to be divided equally between us; I would like that each party retain their own pension fund; and I do not want either of us to be financially dependant upon each other following a final order".

It's a fanciful example but it hopefully conveys my point.

Thanks Charles but I'm afraid it's a simpler problem - I can't even fit the name of the court in the size of the box at the top.

How odd. I usually abridge the names when it becomes cumbersome.

The official title of my local court is "The Family Court sitting at Birmingham" which can abridged to "Birmingham Family Court". Is that any help?
