Hi all,

Does anyone know of a good solicitor who is ''pro fathers'' or even, ''pro anything'' in the Kingston-upon-Thames / Surrey area? My solicitor seems to be reluctant to send letters/emails & start court proceedings even though this was verbally agreed what he would do.

Have tried using the solicitor finder on this web site, but I get no results no matter what criteria I input, so I think it''s broken.

Three years down the line & I''m fed up with not moving forwards.

Thanks in advance for your answers as always!

If anyone is able to recommend a sols, please send the details to the OP via PM.

LosingBattle, have you considered representing yourself? there is plenty of good advice and information for LiPs on here, and many experienced LiPs who can offer advice and share experiences.

I will check out our solicitor directory and see what the problem is.

I''ve just tried the solicitor search and it seems to work just fine. Perhaps you just need to enter "Kingston." You could also try the website of the family solicitors'' organisation, Resolution, or the Chambers UK lawyers guide.

Thanks rubytuesday, unfortunately it has got so acrimonious & I have so little spare time that I do not feel able to self-represent-much as I''d like to.

Fiona, I did input ''Kingston'', ''Surrey'' & my post code, but the results are all London. It doesn''t seem to be able to narrow down any results, even when I remove the options of ''family law'', ''legal aid'' etc. it just gives out the 163 that are in the database.
I will have a look at your suggestions, I really want a firm who understand that fathers have rights too.

LiP = Litigant in Person (someone who represents themselves)
