I think the dark blue is better. It's less buzzy than the light blue.

For me, readability is the most important issue. We exclude people if our text doesn't meet readability criteria, and I suspect the orange didn't.

Also, I always thought that the orange was a bit dated.

I'm sorry to see that the heading now refers to a 'straw poll'. I really liked the image of a 'straw pole'. Dyslexia has some wonderfully creative uses.

Apart from personal preferences I think the problem is that colours are seen differently on different computers so there is unlikely to be one colour that suits all members.

Blue in all it's variations is my favourite colour which is probably as well as the blue Saltire appears every time I post. ;)

I don't like orange and as Forseti once pointed out the orange hyperlinks was rather like being Tangoed so I'm pleased they have gone. :)

This is even worse - boring grey/black.

Hardly any colour at all. Getting cross now - wasn't anything wrong with the old way!

I have only a bit of blue on black and white- very twentieth century - perhaps I should dig out my typewriter :(

I am liking the pink on the post a new message statement much easier to read than the orange.

Think to help the dyslexic amongst us the background should be a different colour not white but cant remember which colour is best.

I don't have a problem with any of the colours on the site but can appreciate that others do.

Making wikivorce more accessible to readers won't help when on other sites so some members may like to know that coloured overlays are available for your monitor - as opposed to coloured backgrounds, which might not suit every reader either.

For dyslexics and people with Irlen Syndrome - where white background glare makes it difficult for some people to read black text on white paper, colour can make a difference BUT some colours are better than others, so you need to test which are best for you.

Coloured overlays are used for text books in some schools to help dyslexics.
