Hi

Just wondering if it is possible to start a new posting area called ''In the News'' where we can post links to newspaper stories or announce anything relevant on TV relating to Wikivorce topics of interest.

I think this would be a good resource.

Thanks

EA

I like the idea of sharing news article, but people do this at the moment, but post links to the news articles under the relevant headings, for example CSA news was recently posted under Child Support.

Keeping things categorised ensures all relevant items are collated in one area.

However this is only my opinion ;)

I have a long running ''Gold Medal'' history of getting things wrong :P

Hi

I asked the question above as I sometimes find things that are relevant but do not fit into other areas of the forum. When that happens I end up not posting them as they have no ''home''.

In the ''Discuss anything'' area there is:
Life After Divorce
Relationships
Depression and Stress
General - Divorce
General - Non-Divorce
Jokes and Humour
Activities and Hobbies
The New You
Healthy Living and Eating
DIY and Practical tips
Money Saving Tips.

When I can''t fit anything anywhere else I look to see if there is anything there.

I agree with WR on this - currently we have 8 main Forum areas (excluding the Scottish and Australian fora), and a total of 40 sub-fora, so there is plenty of scope there for posting news items. The point WR makes about keeping everything categorised is important, as it makes relevant items/reports easier to find. And any discussions on changes to the existing laws can be started in the Change forum.

Perhaps this is a suggestion to consider for the future - we do appreciate ideas and suggestions on how to improve Wikivorce, and I''m not dismissing it out of hand, but currently I feel that there is adequate forum space for news items.
