Hi Patsy. People only mess with people that they know they can get away with sh!t with. This colleague wouldnt have done that if they know they would pay for it. So learn that you need to be tough with people at work. As work is a special place. Its combative like a roman arena. You have to fight to be there and thrive. And having your fingers snapped off by someone smiling at you is a trick to master. But its all an act. Work is also a stage where you act being happy, being on message and be fierce and someone you dont mess with.


But work (thankfully) is different to relationships. In relationships you establish early on how its gona be. With work, every day is a new day. So every day you get to try being someone else. You can be the b!tch from the other side if the river styx and another day, the vamp from castle vamp. But I find with work, as long as you deliver, how you are is irrelevant. Marshy.
