What services are available?
Until a few years ago, there was very little choice available - and most people went straight to a high street solicitor for advice. However solicitors charge expensive hourly rates and new internet companies have popped up offering lower cost services. The internet companies offer a range of services at various prices, and confusingly they all use different names for these services.

Top Tip: Don't get fooled by the promise of a 'quickie' divorce at a 'cheap' price.
The so-called cheap, quickie £40 divorce advertised by some internet sites is not the bargain that it first appears:
1) the forms and guide that you pay £40 for are available FREE on Wikivorce or from the HM Court Service website.2) you still have to pay the standard England and Wales court fees of £385.
3) it is no quicker than any other divorce service - it will take around 3 months.
